on the wagon
I've been on a yarn diet because next week I plan to visit Artfibers where I will surely fall off the wagon. So I had to pass on the sale going on at Jimmy Beans, but they've got some nice discounts that are testing my willpower. I came across the sale while searching for Rowan RYC Cashcotton 4 ply which is the yarn called for in the Après Surf Hoodie. Cute sweater, don't you think?

Speaking of sweaters, there's been a nice break from the heat here so I finally started the finishing for my Central Park Hoodie. It's been awhile since I completed the knitting, but I tend to procrastinate when it's time to do all the seaming of pieces and weaving in of yarn. Also, I know when I'm done, I won't be able to wear the sweater for six more months, so I haven't been in much of a hurry. So far, I have weaved in 51 yarn ends...see why I hate finishing? Why so many ends, you ask? There were a lot of knots in a few of the skeins and also not much yardage per skein (Debbie Bliss Aran Tweed). Perhaps that's why it was discontinued and in the bargain bin. More reason for me to stay away from yarn sales!

Oh, I can understand how you feel about all those ends. I had to weave in 18 ends on my Marijke Scarf due to so many knots in the yarn.

You're gonna have fun at Artfibers.
